In software industry, it has become a trend to launch the developer’s preview version to optimise the performance before the beta launch of any product. Microsoft has also launched it’s upcoming and most awaited Windows 8 OS to it’s developer to get the feedbacks.
Michael Muchmore of PC Magazine has tested Windows 8 and Windows 7 OS juxtaposed to each other.In his test, he found that Windows 8 is really fast in performance in comparison to its predecessor Windows 7. He tested on 3.4GHz quad-core PC with 4GB RAM running Windows 8 Developer Preview and Windows 7 in dual-boot configuration.After running tests for three times, he has calculated the average of all three results.
The final conclusion obtained was that, Windows 8 is really faster than it’s previous version Windows 7.
